The OnDose Results Report provides you with important information about your patient's infusional 5-FU dosing and area under the curve (AUC) history. The report shows the physician-supplied dose (mg/m2) for each treatment date and the calculated 5-FU exposure (expressed as AUC). This information can be used to optimize infusional 5-FU chemotherapy within a target AUC range (20-24 mg•h/L) for future cycles (ie, increase, decrease, or maintain).
- Provides individualized data to guide dosing into an optimal range of 20-24 mg•h/L
- Designed to provide you with an accurate and timely measurement of infusional 5-FU exposure
- Test results are used to help optimize an individualized dose for the next cycle of infusional 5-FU chemotherapy
- For the following cycles, repeat the test each time until desired AUC range is reached and maintained for at least 3 cycles
- After maintaining target AUC levels for at least 3 cycles, monitor every third cycle
- A recent publication by Gamelin et al showed infusional 5-FU dose adjustments as a function of infusional 5-FU exposure recorded during the previous cycle of treatment1
- This protocol can be used to optimize infusional 5-FU chemotherapy for future cycles (ie, increase, decrease, or maintain)1
NOTE: Any dose adjustment should reflect your professional clinical experience and medical knowledge of the patient.
