Take Action Against Lynch Syndrome

Colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer in the United States. Everyone has some risk of colorectal cancer and should have regular medical screening.

However, individuals with Lynch syndrome are at significantly higher risk for colorectal and other cancers and should follow a more aggressive screening plan. Once Lynch syndrome is identified by the COLARIS® test, risk can be greatly reduced through a comprehensive management plan based on your family history.

Steps to Prevent Cancer or Stop Cancer in an Earlier, More Treatable Stage

  • Colonoscopy every 1 to 2 years, beginning as early as age 25, increasing to every year after age 40
  • Gynecologic exam every year, beginning at age 25 to 35, including:
  • Screening for any other Lynch syndrome-related cancers that are part of your family history
  • Preventive surgery is an effective option that is best discussed with your doctor
